Inova Fairfax Hospital - Emergency Level 1 Trauma is looking for a dedicated Nurse Manager to join the team. This role will be full‑time, Monday—Friday evenings. Relocation and sign‑on bonus available for eligible candidates.

• Oversee the unit to ensure it is performing effectively, including hiring, training, business strategy, and performance management.
• Ensure quality care by managing clinical nursing practice and care delivery that supports optimal outcomes.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and lead continuous improvement using evidence‑based practices such as discharge phone calls, leadership rounding, AIDET, and HML conversations.
• Participate in patient safety program development and ensure staff is clinically competent and trained in safety practices.
• Assess risk and liability, develop corrective action plans, and maintain proper assessment and clinical skills for patient care.
• Execute and document Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services core indicators, conduct education and mock MSETs, and participate in unit‑specific drills.
• Analyze practices contributing to variance, draw conclusions from aggregate data, and identify resources for variance analysis.
• Develop and monitor metrics related to process improvement at the unit level, facilitate a non‑punitive error reporting system, and assist with IRCA completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 2 years of nursing experience related to the unit’s scope.
• Certification/Licensure: Basic Life Support & Advanced Cardiovascular Life required for Emergency Department, Critical Care, and procedural areas;
  Licensed in Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

• Experience: Leadership role (Supervisor & above) as a Registered Nurse; strong leadership skills; strong chart/clinical nurse experience.
• Certification: Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
