American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a stepdown unit requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a VA or compact RN license.
Requirements- Active RN license (VA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Stepdown ICU unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratio of 1:3 with up to 3 patients per nurse
- Common patient population includes respiratory disease, neurological disorders, chronic illnesses, and COVID cases
- Manages drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low dose pressors
- Uses Epic EMR
- D/N rotation shift schedule
- Weekend requirement of 5 shifts every 6 weeks
- Floating required with priority given to travelers
- 3-day floor orientation
- Provide critical care nursing support on a stepdown unit
- Holiday coverage required on a rotating every-other-holiday basis
- Scrub requirement: navy blue or solid white tops and pants, with jackets in solid navy blue or white, and long sleeve undershirts limited to navy or white
