Job Overview
Security Officer (SO)/Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) – Air Force Special Access Program facility. GDIT seeks an experienced professional to oversee daily security operations, enforce federal regulations, manage personnel security processes, safeguard classified information per NISPOM and Air Force SAP regulations, and maintain facility safety and operations.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for all facility security matters
- Ensure adherence to NISPOM, DoD Overprint, ICD, and SAP policy
- Assist in developing and executing policies for safeguarding SAP, SCI and collateral data
- Provide day‑to‑day security support, continuously assess procedures, and recommend improvements
- Conduct SAP facility compliance reviews, follow‑on reviews, and close‑outs
- Conduct DCII, DISS and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SAP access
- Perform data entry and record checks in the Joint Access Database Environment (JADE) and maintain customer‑sponsored personnel data
- Implement and enforce security policies per NISPOM, DCSA and GDIT requirements
- Manage personnel security clearance processes, including eApp packages, background investigations, and clearance status tracking up to SCI eligibility
- Conduct security training and briefings for employees, including initial, refresher, and specialized training
- Maintain and update security records, including DISS and other government databases
- Act as liaison with DCSA and other agencies for inspections, audits, and correspondence
- Collaborate with GDIT Corporate Facilities to oversee daily operations for optimal functionality and safety
- Coordinate suppliers and service providers for timely cost‑effective delivery of services
- Handle emergency situations to minimize operational downtime
- Assist with coordinating supplier visits on-site in government‑owned facilities requiring a Visitor Access Request (VAR)
- Responsible for all aspects of physical security for an ICD‑705 accredited space, if required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of related experience.
- Experience: 5+ years security (CPSO) experience. Security Fundamental Professional Certification (SFPC) and Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) each count as 1 year.
- Technical
Skills:- Current experience with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DCSA and other regulations.
- Completion of the FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities Curriculum via STEPP.
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance, willing to obtain/maintain POLY, SCI eligibility.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required.
- Role Requirements:
- Willingness to work in an office 5 days per week.
- Travel to/from customer sites less than 10%.

The likely salary range for this position is $81,349 - $94,300. Salary is based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements.
