Position OverviewSecurity Officer Patrol Documentation –
Falls Church, VA
. Part‑time role. Pay: $20.00 / hr.
Job Schedule: Mon 09:45 PM – 06:00 AM, Tue 09:45 PM – 06:00 AM.
What You’ll Do- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or critical situations calmly, professionally, and with problem‑solving skills, contacting site leadership, medical personnel, and public emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, or conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas to support authorized access, observe visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, or security concerns.
- Complete routine reports and document incidents, observations, and daily activities while communicating clearly with supervisors, staff, and emergency personnel regarding security matters.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in customer service preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Applicants may be considered with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment according to state and local laws.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
