Food Transporter​/Delivery Driver

Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD TRANSPORT/DELIVERY DRIVER position at Inova Fairfax Hospital, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042. Online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

Full time; days may vary (6:00 am – 6:00 pm, 6:00 am – 12:00 pm, or 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm). Rotating weekends. More details upon interview.

Pay: $17.95 to $18.25 per hour. Perks: $750 sign-on bonus paid in two installments (90 days and 180 days).

• Delivers food, supplies and other products to units and areas of service using a vehicle.
• Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk and receives completed production orders; inventories items to ensure completion of production orders.
• Loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner; unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site.
• Follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment; ensures hot and cold food items meet sanitation and safety requirements.
• Collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise; maintains general cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
• Performs routine maintenance on truck and interacts with coworkers to meet company service standards.
• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail; performs other duties as assigned.

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and, where required, a valid food handler’s permit.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely in accordance with traffic laws and conditions.
