Overview
Warehouse Generalists at the full-performance level work independently under general supervision to support the sponsor’s mission. The role requires an active Top Secret/SCI US Government clearance with polygraph and US citizenship.
Responsibilities- Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts (gas/diesel/electric), pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap machines, warehouse scales, packing tape dispensers, and dock/lift gate equipment.
- Assist with office moves and relocations: manual lifting, wrapping furniture, and team lifting of heavy items onto dollies or equipment.
- Use hand tools for mounting, dismounting, measuring, cutting wood, and assembling custom crates for non-standard items.
- Perform receiving, distribution, and shipping functions: validate contents, inspect for damage, load and unload trucks, prepare shipping documentation and labeling.
- Execute packing and crating duties: follow policies for hazardous materials, construct custom crates, apply banding and burlap, and document HAZMAT shipments.
- Maintain equipment: oil, clean, change filters and follow maintenance schedules.
- Track daily activities in the database, scan material into the doc‑control system, and verify receipt receipts.
- Serve as a customer service representative, resolving delivery issues, updating customers, and escalating problems to management when required.
- Coordinate daily team activities, manage signed delivery, update schedules, and balance workload among couriers.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (US citizenship required).
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience, including material handling and forklift operation.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Forklift certification within 30 days of start.
- Knowledge of HAZMAT procedures, safety protocols, and warehouse regulations.
- Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and barcode scanners.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; work requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
- Strong interpersonal, customer‑service, and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking, time‑management, and ability to work in a team environment.
Work occurs in a temperature‑controlled warehouse and in vehicle transport to sponsor and customer sites. Conditions include moving vehicles, fumes, noise, dust, and cramped spaces. Work outdoors in all weather conditions and frequent computer use are expected.
Tools & Technology- Forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, shrink wrap and banding machines, industrial carton‑making machine, linstapak machine, hand tools, and barcode scanners.
- Standard Microsoft Office suite.
- Motor vehicles ranging from sedans to box trucks; no special licensing required.
U.S.: $30.00 – $36.00 per hour (actual rate may vary by qualifications and experience).
