Storeroom​/Delivery (Full Or Part Time

Position Overview

We are hiring immediately for a full or part‑time STOREROOM/DELIVERY position.

• Location:
  
  Inova Fairfax Hospital - 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22042. Online applications accepted only.
• Schedule:
  
  Full‑time schedule;
  Days may vary, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Part‑time schedule;
  Days may vary, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Rotating weekends required.
• Requirement:
  One year of previous stockroom experience preferred.
• Perks: $750.00 sign‑on bonus – 1/2 at 30 days, remaining at 90 days.
• Pay Range: $17.95 per hour to $18.25 per hour.

Responsible for receiving storage and inventory for all departmental supplies and food. Maintains sanitation in storage areas.

• Inventories and maintains necessary food and other supplies to ensure efficient operation of the Food Service Department.
• Stores food and supplies in correct containers and proper storage areas according to department guidelines.
• Maintains records and logs documenting storage temperatures of perishable food items per standards.
• Dates, labels, and rotates stock according to procedures, using oldest product first.
• Orders food and supplies based upon product specification as established by company ordering protocols and procedures.
• Secures designated areas of potential theft, dangerous chemicals, supplies and equipment to safeguard associates. Follows all security procedures regarding storeroom organization.
• Transports food and supplies in appropriate containers or vehicles to ensure delivery is safe and intact.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when receiving and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety.
• Reports needed maintenance or repairs of equipment used to proper resources.
• Completes all daily, weekly or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis meeting all prescribed deadlines.
• Identifies and utilizes cleaning chemicals following directions recommended by manufacturers and per MSDS sheets. Utilizes equipment in performing job functions according to department safety procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required for transport duties.
• One year of stockroom experience preferred.
