Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, IT Support, Network Administrator
AWS is looking for a Network Deploy Technician to join our growing team within infrastructure operations. You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.
The position includes scaling support of several data center locations and day-to-day assistance with capacity management. You will work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution as directed by Network Leadership and Technical Project Managers.
You will support large scale, enterprise class networks, network implementation and troubleshooting. Work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with regular peer and customer interaction. Provide management and support of AWS’s vast network infrastructure, establish best practices and refine operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows to complete customer requests and projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles.
- Troubleshoot networking, routing and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
- Specify power and cooling requirements and ensure hardware racking/stacking completed for new equipment.
- Participate in migration, basic configuration and rollout of new or upgraded hardware.
- Track network rack intake and delivery; work with onsite teams to request rack space, power, and cooling for network racks.
- Build higher-level networking devices with
-Scaling peers. - Provide the first level networking devices to serve customer racks and troubleshoot within service-level agreements.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
- Work in an environment that operates 24/7 with primary responder rotation and after-hours support as needed.
- Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments.
- Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.
- Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.
Travel within and outside of the regional work area is required. You will be responsible for having a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver's license.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- 1+ years of Linux operating systems experience.
- 1+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Data center experience.
- Industry-standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+).
- Experience with common network troubleshooting tools (VFLs, OTDR, power meters).
- Knowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF).

BenefitsBase salary range: $30.00 - $54.00 USD hourly (varies by location). Additional compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
