Jefferson Health is our Academic Clinical Research Center partner for our vertically integrated operations in Pennsylvania.

The Post-Harvest Manager is responsible for leading all functions related to downstream production of cannabis flower products. This role is the group leader for post-harvest operations and organization within our production facility. Post-harvest operations signal near completion of the production cycle. The manager in this department is responsible for making sure there is no delay in making space and containers available for each successive harvest.

Atmospheres of the drying areas are normalized daily to achieve the desired moisture content of product as quickly as possible. The manager ensures that each post-harvest employee can handle and package products without contamination, thus also ensuring a low level of waste or loss.

• Train and manage all post-harvest technicians on post-harvest duties
• Harvesting plants
• Monitoring environment of drying areas and containers
• Organization of batch specific product
• Trimming
• Packaging
• Quality Control
• Safe handling of chemicals
• Follow cGMP and Safety standards
• Verify and maintain all checklists, logs, and documentation pertaining to harvested and packaged products
• Schedule and prepare product for 3rd party lab testing
• Verify all Seed-to-Sale transactions for accuracy
• Ensure product packaging and labelling is in compliance at all times
• Follow process and progression of product to protect against diversion
• Maintain inventory of all consumables and requisition new materials in a timely manner
• Conduct employee performance evaluations
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of automated equipment
• Maintain sanitary conditions that meet SOPs in all post-harvest areas at all times
• Inspection of work areas, equipment, and uniforms
• Update and train on standard operating procedures
• Ensure all green waste is disposed of properly
• Oversee scheduling, timecards and monitor attendance
• Facilitate R&D efforts of process improvements
• Reinforce expectations for a safe and sanitary operation
• Other duties as designated by Production Operations Manager

Preferred Experience , Education and

Skills:

• High diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in cannabis post-harvest operations
• Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
• 3-5 years in leadership/management position
• Previous experience with Cannabis Seed-to-sale software an MS Office Suite

• Must pass stringent background test requirements of state you will be working in. Age requirements; MA 21, OH 21 and PA 18.
• Possess valid driver's license or state ; authorized to work in the U.S

• Ability to perform essential job functions for extended periods (8-10 hours per day).
• Frequent activities may include sitting, walking, bending, climbing ladders, reaching, and frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds over a distance of up to 100 feet.
• Work may involve exposure to cannabis odors, airborne particles, fertilizers, and high humidity in cultivation or processing areas.
• Job duties may be performed in retail dispensaries, cultivation rooms, or post-harvest facilities, each with varied lighting and temperature conditions.

• This position is classified as exempt and not eligible for overtime pay.
