RD&S is expanding our commercial and industrial CO2 refrigeration division, and we are seeking a highly experienced, field‑proven Senior CO2 Refrigeration Service Technician to help build one of the strongest CO2 service teams in the region. We are looking for a highly specialized CO2 technician who can support customers professionally in the field, lead service work and field operations, and travel throughout the region as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex CO2 refrigeration system issues
- Troubleshoot
- Transcritical CO2 systems
- Parallel rack systems
- Gas coolers
- Electronic expansion valves
- Refrigeration controls
- Mechanical and electrical system issues
- Perform planned maintenance, emergency service, and customer support activities
- Generate accurate service documentation and reporting
- Serve as a senior technical representative to customers
- Maintain strong communication throughout service and project execution
- Provide technical recommendations and long‑term service solutions
- Support and mentor junior technicians when needed
- Ensure projects and service work are completed safely, professionally, and efficiently
- Support CO2 construction, startup, and commissioning activities as required
- Assist project teams with system startup, controls verification, and operational testing
- Coordinate with project managers, controls teams, and contractors during startup activities
- Extensive hands‑on experience with commercial and/or industrial CO2 refrigeration systems
- Proven experience with:
- CO2 transcritical systems
- Advanced troubleshooting
- Refrigeration controls integration
- Parallel rack systems
- Mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer communication and professionalism in field environments
- Strong written communication skills and experience preparing detailed field service and startup reports
- Willingness to travel extensively based on customer and project demands
- Commitment to safety, technical excellence, and high‑quality workmanship
- Startup and commissioning experience is strongly valued
- EPA Certification required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- OSHA certification preferred
