MSAD 75 is seeking a Paraprofessional III - K-8 Day Treatment Program to join our vibrant educational community. Together, we can inspire the next generation of learners and leaders.
POSITION:35 Hours per Week
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Based on Student need, instruct individuals 1 on 1 or small groups of students under the indirect supervision of a teacher
- Prepare instructional materials
- Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by classroom teacher or designee
- Manage behavior according to IEP and behavior plans
- Three years of post-secondary education or combination equivalent to 90 hours of approved study
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education Educational Technician III Certification
- Valid State of Maine Department of Education background check (CHRC) Authorization
- Behavioral Health Professional certification preferred
- Mandt trained or able to train
- Strong behavioral management skills, ability to consistently follow and implement positive behavior support plans
- Demonstrated record keeping skills
- Proven ability to function as a team member
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.
Activity Per Shift-
- Standing/Walking: 6-8 hours
- Sitting: 3-5 hours
- Lifting/Carrying: 3-5 hours, up to 50 pounds
- Pushing/Pulling/Sliding: 1-2 hours
- Climbing Up & Down Stairs: 1-2 hours
- Reaching Overhead: 1-2 hours
- Bending/Twisting: 3-5 hours
- Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: 1-2 hours
- Hands/Arms/Finger Dexterity/Hand Gripping: 6-8 hours
