Description
At Ocean View at Falmouth, our beautifully maintained campus is part of what makes our community feel peaceful, welcoming, and vibrant. We’re a locally owned, 21st-century retirement community looking for a dedicated Landscape Technician to help care for our grounds and facilities with skill, pride, and professionalism.
This is a full-time,
Monday–Friday position (7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.), with overtime required for emergencies including snow removal. This role also participates in an on-call rotation to respond to urgent maintenance needs.

As a Landscape Technician, you play a key role in maintaining both the beauty and functionality of our community. Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and shrubs through mowing, pruning, planting, fertilizing, grading, and seasonal clean‑up.
- Performing snow removal duties, including shoveling, plowing support, and operating snow equipment.
- Operating and maintaining landscaping equipment such as chain saws, string trimmers, edgers, riding mowers, and snow blowers.
- Applying treatments to weeds and trees as needed.
- Installing and repairing fencing and performing routine building maintenance (interior and exterior).
- Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance and responding to emergency and after‑hours repair needs as part of the on‑call rotation.
- Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders.
- Maintaining clean, safe work areas and strictly following OSHA safety standards.
- Providing exceptional customer service to residents while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Minimum of one year of landscaping or maintenance experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to operate power equipment safely and perform minor equipment repairs.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, wet conditions).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation.
- A positive, professional attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
This is a highly active role requiring standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, lifting, and operating equipment throughout the day.
