Engineering & Maintenance Clerk/Administrative Support
The Steamship Authority is currently seeking to fill the position of Engineering & Maintenance Clerk/Administrative Support at the Steamship Authority's Falmouth administrative office location. This is a full-time, non-union position working Monday through Friday.
The function of this position is to provide general assistance and clerical support to the Engineering and Maintenance Department with processing invoices and labor transactions (payroll). Other responsibilities include being the receptionist at the administrative office building, answering the telephone, file management and working with the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Duties And Responsibilities Include- Sort and distribute mail - both internal and external.
- Process invoices for material and services ordered and received for terminal and vessel maintenance.
- Review and summarize hourly labor charges and prepare reports necessary for submittal to the payroll department.
- Provide administrative support to maintenance crafts - i.e., processing of expense sheets, and uniform requests, etc.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a supply catalog index and file system.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a centralized record management/retention system for the department.
- Possess good organizational skills.
- Be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.
- High School Diploma and administrative assistance experience required.
The pay rate for this position is $25.48 per hour.
