Job Description2026‑2027 School Year
AM and PM shifts on school transportation, hours may vary
2 mornings and afternoons
Qualifications- High School Diploma.
- Ability and desire to work with children with special needs.
- Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of school staff.
- Willing to be delegated to administer emergency medication to a student.
- Safety Care, CPR and first aid training preferred or willingness to be trained.
- Alternative qualifications acceptable if deemed appropriate by the Superintendent of Schools.
- Provide 1:1 care during school bus transportation.
- Monitor and respond to seizure‑related medical needs.
- Administer seizure medications as prescribed by the student’s physician, following the Emergency Action Plan.
- Collaborate with the school‑based team to maintain continuity and quality of care.
- Follow an AM or PM shift or alternate on a set schedule.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with bus drivers, school staff, and parents/guardians.
- Document any incidents, medical concerns, or medication administration in accordance with school policies and procedures.
External candidates:

Internal candidates:
Current FPS staff will be paid their 2026‑27 hourly rate of pay.
Position Type: Part‑Time
Pay: $20.75 to $45 per Hour
