Special Education 1:1 Aide (Preschool)

OverviewSchool Year. Year‑to‑Year Position (as needed). Hours dependent upon student need (part time to full time). Additional before and after school hours available, including aide on bus or sports & extracurriculars.
Qualifications- High School Diploma.
- Post‑secondary education preferred, with background in medical/special education.
- Experience working with Special Needs children preferred.
- Safety Care training preferred or willing to train.
- Ability to take direction from and work under the supervision of one or more teachers.
- Alternatives to the above qualifications may be acceptable (may require LPN certification depending on student needs).
- Work with the assigned student as determined by the teacher or administrator.
- Willingness to be trained in specific behavioral techniques.
- Awareness of medical concerns (allergies, seizures, etc.) and student assistance protocol.
- Accompany students to designated areas and classes as directed and assist student with class work.
- Attend in‑service training sessions that pertain to special education.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the classroom teacher and/or the Principal.

Full‑time position: $22.37 to $27.73 per hour.
