Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Long-Term Care
Location: Falmouth, Massachusetts
Job Highlights
- 13-week assignment with high possibility of extension
- Competitive weekly pay: $1,900 - $2,240 (local & travel candidates)
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Supportive long-term care environment
- Rotating night shifts: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holidays
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a long-term care setting
- Support residents' physical, emotional, and clinical needs
- Lead and guide nursing assistants during assigned shifts
- Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Direct and supervise daily activities of nursing assistants per facility policies and regulations
- Plan and coordinate shift-based services, programs, and resident care activities
- Complete admission, transfer, and discharge documentation accurately and timely
- Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, including telephone orders
- Maintain clear and detailed nursing notes reflecting care provided and resident response
- Communicate new admissions, room assignments, and care updates to nursing staff
- Coordinate with physicians to ensure treatment plans and orders are reviewed and signed
- Participate in facility surveys and inspections as required
- Perform nursing administrative and clinical duties as assigned
- Minimum 2 years of recent LPN experience, preferably in long-term care
- Active, unencumbered Massachusetts LPN license (required prior to start)
- BLS / CPR and AED certification required
