The Area Director of Sales will be based at the John Carver Inn & Spa and will provide sales leadership and strategic support for both the John Carver Inn & Spa and Inn on the Square. This dual-property leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth, market share, and overall sales performance across both hotels while ensuring alignment with company values, brand standards, and operational goals.

The Area Director of Sales will lead all aspects of the sales effort including business development, account management, group and transient sales strategy, community engagement, and team collaboration. Serving as the primary sales leader for the Plymouth market while also supporting the Falmouth property, this individual will work closely with hotel leadership teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability through strategic planning, relationship building, and proactive market positioning.

This position requires a highly organized and relationship-focused leader who can balance the unique market dynamics of both properties while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and exceptional hospitality.

Pay: $90,000 per year plus bonus

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development of the hotel's marketing and sales plan based on the hotel's position and strengths within each market segment
  • Represents the hotel at various community, industry, and civic functions and maintain/cultivate these relationships
  • Leads, trains, and mentors staff including hiring, coaching development, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations
