HGV Technician Conversion Programme

Overview

Scania GB is offering a conversion programme for Light vehicle, Plant or Agricultural technicians to become Scania HGV technicians. The programme combines on‑site mentoring with bespoke training at the Scania UK Learning Academy. Participants will receive industry‑recognised qualifications, including IRTEC and a Scania Roadside Assistance certification, and gain access to a full range of in‑house training to support career progression.

Location: Fareham Salary: £33,363 per annum (£16.04 per hour)

Start date:

07/09/2026. Working hours will be discussed upon application. The conversion programme is scheduled and not flexible due to its position in the training calendar. Apprenticeship or an equivalent qualification (NVQ Level 3 or similar) may be considered.

• Minimum of 3 years hands‑on mechanical experience.
