Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative Fareham £37,286 PO14 Permanent
Are you a skilled Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative with strong carpentry skills and experience across additional trades? Workshop Recruitment are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative to join a well-established property maintenance organisation in the Fareham area. The role involves planned and reactive maintenance across domestic and commercial properties. You will use your carpentry skills alongside experience in plumbing, bathroom fitting, kitchen installation and general maintenance, painting & decorating, tiling, among other tasks.
The successful Carpenter Multi-Trade Operative will work independently, use their initiative and deliver a professional, customer-focused service, and live in the Fareham area.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across domestic and commercial properties.
- Complete carpentry repairs including doors, frames, skirting, flooring and first/second fix works.
- Install and refurbish bathrooms, including sanitaryware, showers and associated fixtures.
- Undertake minor plumbing repairs, alterations and sanitary connections.
- Complete kitchen installations, joinery and associated finishing works.
- Diagnose faults and identify suitable repair solutions.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
- Complete job sheets and records accurately while communicating professionally with customers and tenants.
- Must live within a 20 mile radius of Fareham.
- Strong carpentry and joinery skills, including door hanging, ironmongery, skirting and architrave.
- Competence in at least two additional trades, such as plumbing, bathroom fitting, kitchen fitting, tiling, plastering or general maintenance.
- Experience working across domestic property maintenance or similar environments.
- Good practical, problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different repair requirements.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, materials, tools and safe working practices.
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery, or a relevant recognised trade qualification.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
- Previous fire door experience and relevant Health & Safety qualifications would be advantageous.
