StaffAccountant
As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the organization. This entry-level accounting position focuses on day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting monthly and year-end close processes. You’ll work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy, support compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the department.

Full Time (40 hours/week)
- Assist with timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Perform general ledger reviews and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly financial statement analysis and reporting
- Verify and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable
- Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses to the appropriate accounts
- Maintain records of financial transactions in accordance with company policies
- Track capital purchases, fixed assets, and building improvements
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper depreciation entries
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with legal and internal standards
- Monitor and support accounting procedures within assigned departments
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes
- Prepare special financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems is a plus. - Attention to Detail:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of general accounting experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Experience using a fixed asset software is a plus
