Rental Operations Intern

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rental Operations Intern to join our dynamic team. This position will serve as a supportive role within Butler Machinery performing various tasks related to the day-to-day operations of the Rental Department.

This role requires 20-30 hours per week during the school year with full-time availability during breaks.

Location:

Corporate office in Fargo, ND. Remote not eligible.

• Work with the Rental Business Manager to promote the sale and rent of Rental Equipment.
• Assist with rentals, sales, and rental invoicing to internal and external customers.
• Assist the Rental Business Manager with analyzing market opportunity data to develop rental forecasts for each territory.
• Conduct regular reviews of competitive rental rates to ensure that rates are in alignment with the market while maintaining profitability target goals of the department.
• Maintain and update training for the rental business system.
• Assist the Rental Business Manager with processing rental agreements, reviewing certificates of insurance, UCC filing, manage CAT Rental Store leads, sales reporting, and analytics reporting.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Individual who is working towards a degree in a business related or other related major in college preferred.
• Computer skills essential with experience in PowerPoint and Excel required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of organization.
• Good decision-making skills.
