** Prepare basic construction drawings, read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimation, management of project budgets.
• Develop project timelines and tracking of milestones.
• Primary liaison with general contractor to identify potential delays and risks
• Manage contracts.
• Display proficiency in Revit, Auto Cad, Bluebeam Revu, and other construction related software.
• Troubleshoot and assess unexpected situations and develop solutions
• Maintaining contact with department leadership on project status
** Summary
* * The Associate Construction Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating small-scale space planning, refurbishment, and renovation projects as required. Duties include area/room layout and design, furnishing planning, production of presentation and construction drawings, finish selection, scheduling of trades/services, move planning, and cost accounting. Also, supports the construction project managers to improve project planning, coordination, integrate efforts of various project teams and ensure efficient resource utilization.
** Job Description
** Develops the scope of work for small-scale projects, which primarily includes space planning, moves, and finish repair and replacement. Serves as the primary source of Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings or any in-house project or move drawings. Utilizes drafting software to prepare construction and coordination drawings; utilizes Office Suite for additional computer-based work.
Calls and attends project meetings and assists with determination of project requirements. Demonstrates the ability to estimate the time and resources required to complete tasks. Supports day-to-day project activities required to deliver a quality project on time and on budget. Conducts on-site verification, surveys, and reviews pre/during/post construction on projects. Identifies how to maintain an efficient work schedule and the value of time management.
Assists in monitoring daily activities in construction sites; gives instructions and suggestions as appropriate.
Ensures effective communication between all members of the project team by ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection, and dissemination of project information. Prioritizes tasks to create and maintain critical-path scheduling of activities. Identifies tasks or outputs that require accuracy and detail level attention. Coordinates logistic with in-house support departments such as building services, information technology (IT), supply chain, electronics and move team as they pertain to the project.
Assists construction project manager with other project duties as assigned and contributes to short-term operational plans.
** Qualifications
* * Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting, Construction Management, or related field required. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum one year of Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience strongly desired to be successful in this role.
Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of design principles, scheduling, construction means, methods and codes. Excellent communication skills and experience interacting with architects, contractors, and vendors.
Must maintain a valid driver's license.
