Assistant Manager

Position

Team Lead – reports to Club Manager. Status:
Full Time / Non-Exempt.

Responsible for assisting in the oversight of gym operations to ensure positive member experience and financially successful club.

• Assist in member service oversight to guarantee excellent customer experience.
• Perform front‑desk related tasks and greet/meet potential members, providing gym tours.
• Facilitate member service issues and questions.
• Provide backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and appearance of the gym.
• Help manage marketing efforts and ensure staff knowledge of current promotions.
• Order supplies, maintain inventory, and track reports.

• Customer Service: communicate and interact with customers, coworkers, and the public in a way that exceeds expectations.
• Listening: actively listen, empathize, and collaborate to solve problems.
• Problem Solving: identify and define problems, analyze information, propose alternative solutions, and seek assistance when necessary.
• Diplomacy: demonstrate tact and skill in all interactions using appropriate behavior and language.

• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.

• Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift.
• Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time.
