The Opportunity
Ulteig is currently seeking qualified candidates for a BIM/CAD Technician II for our substation department. This position supports an assigned group of engineers by providing technical 2D and 3D drafting support and creating construction drawings/designs.
What You’ll Do- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other technical staff to develop 3D models of substations using Revit.
- Ensure that 3D models are accurate and reflect design specifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that 3D models integrate with other project deliverables.
- Ensure 3D models are up to date and comply with project deadlines.
- Complete design and construction drafting work including plan and section views, construction details, electrical one‑lines and schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and communications diagrams.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Must collaborate well with a team.
- Two‑year technical degree or currently enrolled in school for Technical Drafting.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Knowledge of Revit is required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Knowledge of Micro Station is a plus.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
- Knowledge of substation electrical protection and control and/or physical design would be beneficial.
- Good organization and communication skills to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.

Target Base Hourly Compensation Range for this role is $32.25/hr – $38.50/hr factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your job specific skills, education, training, job location, number of years of experience related to this role and comparison to other employees already in this role.
