Student MU Gallery Assistant

Position: Student MU Gallery Assistant 2
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only NDSU students are eligible to be hired in this position. Unsolicited applications to this posting will NOT be considered.

Description,

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Support the daily operation and programs of the Memorial Union Gallery

* Assist with the installation, programming and striking of exhibitions (weekend work necessary)

* Assist with the care and maintenance of the NDSU art collection

* Work Safely

* Provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a team environment

* Actively participate in Memorial Union Student Employee Development

Requirements &

Competencies:

* Must be a full-time NDSU student and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA

* Positive attitude

* Strong oral & written communication skills

* High degree of initiative and the ability to carry out tasks to completion in a multi-tasking environment

* Ability to work with a diverse group of people

* Work safely

* Attend student employee trainings and all University required trainings

* Pass a required background check

Preferred:
Interest and proven record of participating and promoting the arts is desired

* NDSU Memorial Union Gallery

Hours &

Schedule:

* Part-time, 10-15 hours/week, schedule TBD
