Performs the regular teacher’s class plan while the teacher is absent.

• Interim Sub License: $130/day
• Valid Teaching License: $150/day
• Retired Teacher from any district: $200/day
• Retired Teachers from FPS – $300/day

• Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students.
• Assumes responsibility for instructing classes, general supervision, cleaning/tidying the classroom, and other duties performed by the absent teacher.
• Prepares lesson plans with assistance, as directed by an administrator, when lesson plans are not available.
• Maintains records including checking test papers, recording grades, and documenting homework and projects; writes a daily summary for the absent teacher.
• Manages student behavior in line with the building’s administrative philosophy.
• Provides individualized and small group assistance for students as indicated by lesson plans.
• Participates in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.

• Minimum of 48 semester hours of college coursework; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid North Dakota Interim Substitute license required;
  North Dakota Teaching license preferred.
