Adjunct Faculty – Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 100) – Minot Air Force Base, ND
University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach the on‑site course PSYC 100, Introduction to Psychology, at Minot Air Force Base, ND.
Course OverviewPSYC 100 surveys basic principles, research concepts, and problems in psychological science, covering biological, cognitive, and social perspectives. Topics include neuroscience, sensation and perception, learning and conditioning, memory, motivation, language, intelligence, personality, social behavior, psychopathology, therapy, and applications of psychology.
Responsibilities- Teach the on‑site course PSYC 100 with engagement and enthusiasm.
- Design and deliver problem‑ and project‑based learning; guide student collaboration.
- Provide regular constructive feedback and employ rubrics for assessment.
- Demonstrate up‑to‑date subject‑matter expertise and help students connect concepts.
- Offer feedback to the program chair on curricular improvements.
- Master's degree in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Professional experience in Psychology or a related field.
- Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
- Terminal degree (PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Resume/Curriculum Vitae.
- Cover letter (highly preferred).
- International candidates may need a translation/degree evaluation from a NACES‑approved vendor.

- Associate Adjunct Professor (no terminal degree): $947 – $1,205 per credit hour.
- Associate Adjunct Professor (terminal degree): $1,202 – $1,483 per credit hour.
- Adjunct Professor (no terminal degree): $1,023 – $1,288 per credit hour.
- Adjunct Professor (terminal degree): $1,347 – $1,645 per credit hour.
