Instructional Coach
An Instructional Coach is an experienced educator whose work focuses on refining teacher practice in the classroom with the primary indicator of success being learner achievement. Instructional Coaches utilize coaching cycles to work in partnership with educators as equal partners towards a common student-centered goal. Coaching builds teacher efficacy by supporting teachers in refining their instructional practices to close the achievement gap and accelerate learning for all students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support, feedback and reflection to increase the quality and effectiveness of instruction.
- Align standards-based instruction with curriculum to meet the needs of all students.
- Ensure that student achievement data drives instructional decisions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education.
- Valid North Dakota Teaching License.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency with instructional technology.
