Position Title: 6th/7th Grade Middle Level Teacher

Location: Pingree-Buchanan Secondary School

Reports To: Principal/Superintendent

Start Date: August 14th, 2026

FTE: Full-Time

Contract: 185-day teacher contract

Salary: According to district salary schedule and experience

Pingree-Buchanan School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused 6th/7th Grade Teacher to join our high school team. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with North Dakota State Standards to support the academic and social development of all students. This position would be responsible for teaching the 6th/7th Grade mathematics, and social studies.

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subject areas including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress.
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level and professional learning communities.
• Implement district curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Support students’ social-emotional development.
• Participate in MTSS/RTI processes and student support teams.
• Supervise students during assigned duties (recess, lunch, etc.).

• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-8) or related field.
• Valid North Dakota Teaching License (or ability to obtain).
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Knowledge of elementary curriculum and assessment practices.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

• Experience teaching at the middle level.
• Familiarity with North Dakota State Standards.
• Training or experience in literacy and math best practices.
