Salary Range: $18.24 to $22.70 per hour

Paraeducators provide instructional support and deliver other direct services to students under the direction of a certified teacher or other licensed employee. There are two classifications of Paraeducators: I and II. Schools will hire depending on the needs of the students/school.
Additional requirements:
Some positions are supported by Title I funds and require additional levels of education or certification. If hired for a Title I position, Title I Paraprofessional Certification will be required prior to hire or work with students.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians orally and in writing
- Basic academic and computer skills
- Experience working or volunteering in a school setting
- Experience working with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Associate’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a similar field
- Experience working as a direct support professional, personal care aide, CNA, or similar position
