Position Purpose

Provide instructional and non-instructional support to teachers and students throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include:

* Assisting teachers in classrooms, including Special Education classrooms

* Supporting students during instructional activities

* Supervising students in the lunchroom, on the playground, or during study halls

* Assisting in school offices, libraries, or other school programs

* Performing other duties as assigned based on school needs

Schedules vary based on school needs and your availability.

Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED required

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families

* Ability to work collaboratively in a school environment

* Experience or willingness to work with students with special needs is preferred

* Willingness to supervise students during lunch and recess is preferred

Pay

* $14.54 per hour
* $15.04 per hour for retired para educators
