Full-time, 12-month, benefited position. This position serves as the primary NDSCS contact for the Pathway Program and related student transition initiatives in Fargo. The Student Transition and Pathway Coordinator provides academic advising and student support services while leading the coordination, assessment, enhancement, and expansion of pathway opportunities that support student access, persistence, transfer, and degree completion. The position collaborates closely with NDSU partners, faculty, academic counselors, and Student Success staff to ensure a seamless student experience.
The Coordinator develops and maintains relationships with community partners, identifies opportunities to expand pathway programming, monitors student outcomes, and recommends process improvements that enhance program effectiveness and student success.
- Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Social Science, Business, Communications, Liberal Arts, or a closely related field
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and adapt to needs of students/departments
- Ability to efficiently use MS-Office or similar software
- Demonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively with students and staff in a team setting
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Broad knowledge of higher education and student development
- Professional academic advising experience with undergraduate students
- Experience with technology programs and software packages related to student information systems (e.g. Campus Connection)
- Working knowledge of student-related FERPA regulations
- A Masters degree (M.A., M.S., etc.) in counseling and guidance, higher education, psychology, social work, or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
$55,000-$62,000, commensurate with education and experience
BENEFITSNDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated value of over $25,000. The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire.
