To thrive in this role, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related discipline with a strong emphasis on transportation, and possess an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification, with the expectation of obtaining a Professional Engineer (PE) license within 12 months or already possessing a North Dakota PE license. Relevant experience of 3‑6 years in transportation or civil engineering design and consulting is crucial, as is proficiency in design software such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Open Roads Designer.
