Position Overview
Senior Engineer – North Dakota, Braun Intertec.
Responsibilities- Prepare proposals for moderate to complex projects.
- Develop and execute geotechnical scopes.
- Review engineering work of others.
- Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies.
- Provide geotechnical recommendations and prepare engineering reports for senior review.
- Manage client needs through communications and proposal/project work.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Perform routine civil engineering assignments, including use of software, staff, and procedures.
- Conduct geotechnical design calculations (e.g., foundation settlement, bearing capacity, grading, stability, paving, geometric design) and other technical work.
- Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians.
- Review vendor, client, engineer, and architect drawings and recommend changes.
- Identify complex problems, propose solutions, and take action to resolve.
- Manage project teams, coaching, and supervising junior staff.
- Compile engineering calculations using standard formulas and software.
- Prepare field reports documenting contractor work methods, test results, and their interpretation.
- Follow established procedures and protocols, ensure safety, and comply with health and safety policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or geotechnical engineering.
- Six or more years of relevant experience.
- PE licensure in North Dakota or ability to obtain within six months.
- Proven ability to devise innovative solutions to complex cross‑departmental problems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and quantitative skills, including knowledge of calculus, algebra, and statistics.
- Leadership skills: delegate, develop and mentor direct reports, and manage multiple client relationships.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulations, technical instructions, and business periodicals.
- Proficiency in applying advanced mathematical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Valid driver’s license and pass MVR as required.
- PE certification in North Dakota (or pending within 6 months).
Standing, walking, sitting, manipulating hands, talking, hearing, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting/emoving up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally more. Visual requirements include close, distance, and color vision. Work may involve exposure to outside weather and moderate to loud noise on job sites.

CompensationSalary range: $96,000.00 – $.
