Senior Meter Specialist

Job Summary

Serves as technical expert for the sales team and advises the customer in troubleshooting technical issues, training, and offering solution‑oriented sales guidance. Is the technical expert in utility commodities (water, wastewater, stormwater, gas, electric) measurement and data automation technologies and software. Requires servicing technology in both an office environment and a field setting.

• Responsible for prospecting new accounts, retaining existing accounts, and increasing opportunities with existing customers.
• Delivers solution‑sales oriented technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assigned customers for specific technical products and/or applications.
• Influence customer specifications for customer and company benefit.
• Provides strategic direction to local sales team and drives a team consultative sales process with customers.
• Aligns local results and expectations with overall Company strategy.
• Provides technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing, and program management representatives.
• Applies new technologies to historical offerings to meet emerging customer needs.
• Leads support specialists assigned within the same working territory.
• Leads presentations to high‑level leadership.
• Performs as primary local contact liaison with customer for contract negotiations and contract maintenance.
• Performs as team leader and closer on complex projects.

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. “5+” years’ experience in a related field.
