Job Description
- Assist Project Managers with the construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Interpret project plans and specifications.
- Support estimating activities for concrete, structural steel, earthwork, process piping, and architectural components.
- Assist with negotiating and preparing purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Review project submittals and manage Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Coordinate with vendors to manage material orders and deliveries.
- Conduct field observations and inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Perform construction layout for onsite activities.
- Assist with the startup and commissioning of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Collaborate with the design engineering team to resolve field issues and unforeseen project challenges.
- Support client relationships and contribute to business growth initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Construction Management.
- 3+ years of construction industry experience preferred.
- Experience with collaborative project delivery methods, including CMAR and Design-Build, preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of OSHA and MSHA regulations.
- Experience with project management software, estimating software, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as project needs require.
- Work is performed in both office and active construction site environments.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and use of hands are required.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs. regularly, 25–50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hard hat, high-visibility vest, face shield, safety footwear, coveralls, and other required safety equipment in accordance with OSHA and MSHA regulations.
