Job Description
Engineering at Mortenson is different. Engineering Services is a dedicated in-house engineering organization that supports some of the most complex and impactful projects across North America. Our engineers contribute to a diverse portfolio spanning energy and transmission infrastructure, utility-scale renewable power, battery energy storage, data centers, manufacturing facilities, and other large-scale infrastructure developments. Rather than serving as a traditional consulting firm or performing field construction work, our engineers collaborate closely with project development, design, procurement, and construction teams to provide technical expertise, optimize designs, improve constructability, and solve complex challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
This unique model allows engineers to see the direct impact of their work while enjoying diverse technical opportunities, cross-functional collaboration, and the backing of one of the nation's leading builders. If you're looking for a role where technical excellence, innovation, and real-world application come together, Engineering Services offers a unique opportunity to influence projects from concept through completion.
The Engineer III or IV – Data Center Application Electrical Engineer role is an electrical engineering position within Engineering Services that provides early-stage design creation and technical support to data center projects through pursuit, design phase, procurement, construction and commissioning stages of projects. This position is a technical expert providing support across the lifecycle of data center projects.
This role also supports Mortenson's Supply Chain functions purchasing data center equipment, executing technical reviews for strategic sourcing and standardization of data center equipment (e.g., switch gear, UPS, generators, ATS, panel boards, transformers, and distribution).
