Job PurposeThe Compact and Large Tractor Product Validation group is responsible for testing and validating new products and revisions to current products—serving as the voice of the customer before products are introduced to the global market. Thisteam ensures Case IH and New Holland tractors meet performance, safety, quality, and customer expectations, while also supporting validation efforts across other CNH product lines such as 4WD tractors, compact tractors, and sprayers.
As a Product Validation Engineering Co-Op, you will work as a full team member under the mentorship of experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience with vehicle testing, data acquisition, and performance validation.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and Product Validation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to define project scopes,
validation plans, and performance targets - Creating thorough test requests in the CNH Testing System (CTS) with clear procedures and acceptance criteria
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing issues while coordinating with SMEs to identify root causes and corrective
actions - Plan, set‑up, operate, troubleshoot, and monitor vehicle systems tests and evaluations in lab and track environments.
- Collecting and analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and determining whether systems meet specifications
and safety/customer requirements - Documenting results in technical reports, presenting findings to project stakeholders, and driving discussions and
solutions - Determine required test instruments, install instruments, and perform calibrations. Install, set‑up, andoperaterequired test automation equipment tooperatetests. Establish, follow, and document lab test procedures.
- Determine if the component(s)/system(s) under evaluation areoperatingper the intended design criteria.
- Interface effectively with support groups and customers, such as Vehicle Electronics,Design Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing,etc.
- Communicate data with others effectively.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and design processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Sophomore,Junioror Senior level student pursuing aBachelor's degree inElectricalengineeringor
Computer Science
