- Proficiency in financial statement analysis and risk assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with asset‑based lending and small business lending.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Lender (CCL) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the banking industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing a loan portfolio with minimal delinquencies.
- Experience working within retail banking environments to cross‑sell commercial products.
- Evaluate and underwrite commercial loan applications by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and business plans to determine creditworthiness and risk.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective commercial clients to understand their financial needs and offer appropriate lending solutions.
- Manage and monitor a diverse loan portfolio, ensuring timely renewals, compliance with loan covenants, and proactive risk management.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as credit analysts, risk management, and retail banking to deliver seamless service and comprehensive financial products.
