Accounting Manager

Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager within North Dakota.

As an Accounting Manager for ND Health and Human Services (HHS), you will work closely with program directors to help manage budgets, track spending, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Your duties will include reviewing payments, monitoring spending, contracts, and grant reconciliations, assisting with cash‑flow reports, and providing budget reports and financial information to program leaders during the biannual budget process.

You will also supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow professionally.

ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work remotely from within North Dakota with the ability to travel as needed for meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of relevant accounting experience, including preparing financial reports, budgets, reconciling projects and grants, tracking expenditures, and auditing.
• Preferred: supervisory experience, master’s degree, CPA certification or other finance credentials, and experience with People Soft Financials.
