40 - Salary Range: $22.00 - $44.00

- Schedule:
Four 10-hour day shifts Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:30pm - 1 evening per week
- Every 10th weekend rotation
- No on-call or holidays
Roles and Titles: Medical Laboratory Scientist ($29.50 - $44.00) and Medical Laboratory Technician ($22.00 - $34.50)
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Follow standard operating procedures and ensure laboratory safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met.
Job Description- Collect laboratory specimens, as needed.
- Process lab specimens and perform clinical laboratory testing, including manual and automated methods, in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate skill in use of equipment relevant to position.
- Demonstrate critical and independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Demonstrate personal commitment to the principles, values, and ethics of the organization to promote a positive work environment.
- Seek personal learning opportunities.
- Recognize safety hazards and comply with all safety practices and protocols.
- Assist in training new staff.
- Serve as a laboratory resource.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- May be required to travel to other locations.
Bachelor’s degree in laboratory or biological sciences required.
Possess a national certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) through an approved Health and Human Services (HHS) agency (e.g., American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)) or be registry eligible. Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) also acceptable. Registry eligible candidates must complete the Board of Registry examination within 12 months of employment. If working in North Dakota (ND), must be licensed by the ND Board of Clinical Laboratory Practice.
Maintain continuing education credits as required by state licenses/certifications. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
