NDSU Counseling Center providers support and improve the emotional and mental well-being of students at NDSU by providing individual, couples, and group therapy, psycho educational programming and outreach, consultation to the campus community and crisis intervention services. Additionally, counselors offer supervision, consultation and support to developing counselors in academic training programs. Counselors actively participate in department and University trainings, meetings, and committees;

as well as maintain awareness of current best practices in the field through continuing education and professional development activities. Based on our shared SAIE values, counselors in our center are committed to service, teamwork, and belonging.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position:

* Provide collaborative in-person and telehealth counseling services to NDSU students including assessment and/or testing, treatment planning, intervention, referral and termination as appropriate to the scope of the Center and licensure.

* Provide crisis services and consultation to students and the campus community when needed.

* Provide clinical supervision to ensure quality clinical client care and trainee development.

* Provide outreach presentations, consultation, and workshops related to mental health issues to the campus community.

* Maintains appropriate documentation that meets accreditation and professional standards.

* Prepare reports, letters, and other paperwork as necessary to support counseling activities and comply with professional standards.

* Attend and participate in staff meetings, supervision meetings, group supervision sessions, and division/department events.

* Stay updated on counseling practices and mental health research relative to the mission of the center.

* Maintain a license to practice in North Dakota.

* Foster a supportive environment for students, colleagues, and campus partners.

* Serve as a representative of the center such as being a liaison to identified groups on campus or serving on campus committees when assigned.

Work Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM, 7:30-4PM during breaks and summer. This is a 10 month position.

Hiring Range:

$48,000 - $52,000 + DOE

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Counseling or related field that supports master's level licensure to practice counseling.

LAPC/LPC within three months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a college or university counseling center.

LPC/LPCC licensure in the state of ND
