Travel Polysomnographer​/Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography

Position: Travel Polysomnographer / Sleep Technologist - Polysomnography
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience for a 13-week travel contract at a pediatric sleep clinic.

Job Details

• Pediatric sleep clinic setting with 2 dedicated pediatric beds,

• Unit specializes in pediatric sleep studies,

• Performs diagnostic polysomnography, titration studies, multiple sleep latency tests (MSLT), and maintenance of wakefulness tests (MWT),

• Utilizes Natus software for sleep studies and Epic EMR,

• 12-hour night shifts, Monday through Friday,

• No weekends and no call required,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric and/or NICU sleep study experience,

• Current BLS certification (AHA),

• RPSGT certification through BRPT required; registration through AASM will also be considered,

• ND state license required if applicable,

• Proficiency with Natus sleep study software preferred,

• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the same specialty within the last 3 years,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include recording and providing accurate polysomnographic data to physicians for use in diagnosing and treating sleep/wake disorders,

• Candidate will be the primary pediatric sleep tech on shift but will work alongside adult sleep techs and will not be alone in the building,

• On-site training is available with the facility's sleep team for candidates with the required pediatric/NICU background,

• Dark gray scrubs required,

• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate,

• All certifications must be active and in good standing at time of consideration - no pending certifications accepted,
