  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)
  • Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) by National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy in documentation. Capable of working under supervision and adhering to precise instructions. Demonstrates compassion and a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage hearing aid operations: ordering, repairs, inventory, and patient follow-up.
  • Perform basic audio logic procedures: calibration checks, otoscopic inspections, and hearing tests.
  • Assist audiologists with pediatric and adult audiometry and hearing aid fittings.
  • Conduct hearing aid orientations and demonstrate assistive listening devices (ALDs).
  • Maintain audiology supply inventory and complete necessary documentation.
  • Complete administrative tasks, including patient calls and correspondence.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, frequent exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or tox or caustic chemicals, which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crawling, occasional crouching/stooping, frequent kneeling, frequent pushing/pulling, constant reaching, occasional sitting, constant standing, occasional twisting, and constant walking.
