Licensed Addiction Counselor; LAC) Outpatient Clinic

Pay: $36-$40/hr---TOP OF MARKET FOR FARGO REGION

Schedule: Monday-Friday- 6am-2pm

Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring a Licensed Addiction Counselor to walk alongside patients recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders. Through individual sessions, group counseling, and personalized treatment planning, you'll help build a safe, steady foundation for people at the start of their recovery journey — in an outpatient setting much like a behavioral health clinic.

We're looking for someone who:

• Thrives in a consistent, outpatient schedule
• Is passionate about serving diverse communities, including clients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
• Wants a role that supports ongoing licensure and professional growth

• Manage a caseload in compliance with regulatory standards and ratios
• Conduct individual counseling sessions and facilitate group and educational sessions
• Complete comprehensive behavioral health assessments and individualized treatment plans
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness on an ongoing basis and adjust care plans as needed
• Coordinate care with other providers and community-based services, including referrals and case management documentation
• Involve family and natural supports in treatment, per each client's preference
• Maintain thorough, compliant client records
• Work independently, under the general supervision required by the ND Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher required
• Active LAC (Licensed Addiction Counselor) license required. Candidates holding the advanced LMAC credential (Master's + 2,000 additional supervised hours) are also encouraged to apply.
• Candidates with an active LICSW license may be considered, provided LAC licensure is completed within [specify timeframe, e.g., 12 months] of hire
• Behavioral health experience preferred
