What You Will Do:
  • Process Payroll Accurately: Manage payroll for a dedicated group of R.D. Offutt Company locations, ensuring team members are paid correctly and on time.
  • Partner Cross‑Functionally: Collaborate with location payroll contacts, Human Resources, Benefits, and management to gather and validate time and pay data.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll laws, including timekeeping, tax payments, garnishments, and levies.
  • Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide timely, professional customer service to team members and leaders by responding to payroll questions and resolving issues.
  • Support the Payroll Team: Assist the Payroll Manager and fellow Payroll Specialists with payroll-related tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Participate in training, team meetings, and communication efforts while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
  • Team‑Oriented Mindset: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining a professional, customer‑focused approach.
  • Bring Payroll

    Experience:

    At least 2 years of payroll experience, with prior multi‑state payroll experience strongly preferred.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws and government reporting requirements, including third‑party garnishments.
  • Detail & Accuracy Focus: Proven ability to perform highly detailed work with exceptional accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Strong Organization

    Skills:

    Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and meet critical deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of computer‑based payroll systems and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Valid work authorization: Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
