The role of the HR Operations Specialist is crucial in providing unwavering support to our organization's team members and leaders. The HR Operations Specialist is a reliable source of information for all Human Resources-related concerns, including those about payroll, benefits, and recruiting processes. Additionally, they assist in developing, documenting, communicating, and updating people-related processes across the organization. The HR Operations Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the welcoming and onboarding of new team members.

They also administer various recognition, benefits, and safety-related initiatives and programs to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization.

Starting salary starts at $20.00 per hour (or more based on experience)!

Job

Duties Include:
  • Respond to various requests for assistance to the Human Resources department as needed.
  • Assist with ongoing HR audits and reporting as directed.
  • Support Workers’ Compensation and safety administration
  • Provide technical expertise, information, and assistance in all matters related to our human resources technologies and people-related processes.
  • Assist with research and developing people-related processing best practices for the HR team and people-related processes involving team members and leaders across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and identify potential areas of opportunity or risk concerning compliance, HR quality improvement, and payroll.
  • Provide ongoing support for cross-organizational intranet content, such as news, events, updates, etc.
  • Assist the HR team with organizational projects and initiatives that impact HR processes and the internal team member and leader experience.
Experience and

Education:

Required:
  • Associate degree in business administration or human resources or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional office setting.
  • Strong passion for technology and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, One Note, SharePoint, etc.) and project management software.
Preferred:
  • Previous experience working with a SaaS (Software as a Service) Human Capital System.
  • Pro-active, self-driven individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply HR knowledge in a collaborative, ever-changing environment.
  • Must have high integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse workgroup.
  • Proficient with state and federal employment regulations and laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a diverse group, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, team members, and leaders.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, manage time, and have an orientation toward details.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to work under pressure, show initiative, and work to meet deadlines.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills across multiple audience levels.
