Job Overview
As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you will transform complex data sets into actionable insights across private and public sectors. Your work will involve consulting with clients, exploring data‑rich environments, leading algorithm and system development, and delivering clear explanations to inform decisions.
Responsibilities- Build and lead data science initiatives that solve global challenges.
- Collaborate with clients to define questions, extract relevant data, and craft analytical solutions.
- Guide teammates, develop algorithms, and architect systems using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Translate data patterns into strategic recommendations and visualizations.
- Experience using data science programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience creating ETL pipelines, including querying APIs, cleaning and conditioning data, and creating schemas for data storage.
- Experience with version control tools, including git, Git Lab, Git Hub, or Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning methods.
- Ability to design and develop automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.
- Ability to develop solutions and integrate and extend free and open‑source software (FOSS) or COTS products.
- Ability to generate data visualizations with tools such as Kibana, Tableau, or Power BI.
- TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in data science, or 7+ years of experience in data science in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with GEOINT, HUMINT, MASINT, OSINT, and SIGINT and the data and tools associated with these disciplines.
- Experience with intelligence or operations analysis in the DoD or Intelligence Community.
- Experience developing and implementing ontological frameworks.
- Experience in the development of algorithms leveraging R, Python, or SQL and No
SQL. - Experience working with Deep Learning and AI frameworks, including PyTorch, Tensor Flow, and Keras.
- Experience working with Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLM).
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Map Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL.
- Experience with visualization packages, including Plotly, Seaborn, or ggplot
2. - Knowledge of Dev Ops, including CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins.
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
CompensationSalary is $99,000.00 to $ annually based on location, experience, and qualifications. This posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
