As a Cyber Security Project Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter, leading our change and supporting enterprise cyber security services.

• Identify, analyze, and respond to security incidents across enterprise and cloud environments, including intrusion analysis, forensic collection, malware investigation, and coordination with cyber defense teams.
• Lead enterprise-wide incident response activities and coordinate within cloud environments.
• Produce after‑action reviews and incident reports for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collect and analyze intrusion artifacts, triage network alerts, monitor external threat intelligence, and perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
• Conduct forensically sound image collection and analysis, preserving evidence integrity according to standards.
• Develop and publish cyber defense techniques, guidance, and incident findings, and contribute to enterprise knowledge bases.

• Education
  :
  Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
• Required Experience
  : 8+ years of related experience.
• Required Technical Skills
  :
  • Incident Response & Cyber Defense methodologies, policies, and remediation paths.
  • Threat Detection & Intrusion Analysis, including event correlation tools and understanding of attack stages.
  • Malware & Vulnerability Analysis, containment, and reporting.
  • Network & System Security, including protocols, network services, secure communications, OS hardening, and application security threats.
  • Cloud Security and incident response within cloud services.
• Security Clearance Level
  : TS/SCI with active polygraph.
• Required Certifications
  :
  One of CEH, ECIH, GRID, RCCE Level 1, CBROPS, CCSP, Cloud+, FITSP‑O, GCED, GCIH, GSEC, Pen Test+, Security+.
• Preferred Certifications
  :
  Board certified in relevant security programs such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA; professional cloud certifications in Amazon or Microsoft Azure; understanding of FISMA.
• Location
  :
  McLean, VA – On Customer Site.

The likely salary range for this position is $152,113 – $205,799. Compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location and contractual requirements, and may fall outside this range.
