We’re looking for a motivated, people-focused Area Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of apartments and/or townhomes. What You’ll DoAs an Area Manager, you’ll be the heartbeat of your assigned properties, balancing leadership, operations, and strategy while fostering a positive, high-performing team environment.
- Lead and manage daily operations within assigned site offices
- Coach, mentor, and motivate employees to meet and exceed performance goals
- Provide regular feedback, guidance, and encouragement to team members
- Create and manage employee schedules, approve timecards, and monitor productivity
- Identify training needs and deliver both initial and ongoing employee training
- Track task completion and employee activity to ensure accountability
- Collaborate with leadership to address challenges and implement best practices
- Identify issues and develop effective, proactive solutions
Travel occasionally between offices or territories as needed - Support overall property appearance and general upkeep
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and applicable government programs
- Learn and follow Campbell Properties policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior property management experience preferred but not required
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire others
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to give constructive feedback
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working across all levels of the organization
- Highly organized with the ability to create clear, easy-to-follow processes
- Self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and professional growth
- Weekend availability as needed
- Familiarity with Yardi property management software preferred not required
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3–5 years of management experience
